The Youth in Government program educates teens about the legislative and judicial process. Youth Judicial offers students the chance to participate in a hands-on legal experience and develop an understanding of real-life case law and the court system's role in our democratic society.

The 74th Alabama Youth Legislature is the February 23-26, 2023 in Montgomery.  Students write bills on topics of their choice and take it through the legislative process. Exciting elections and debates take place in the State House and students get a chance to step into the shoes of the governor, legislators and others.

A special thank you to our Judicial Coach, Julie Trumm, for all her hard work and dedication! For more information about our Youth in Government program, contact Huy Lu at 256.428.9622 ext. 3013 or huy.lu@ymcahuntsville.org.
