Golf can be a great stress-reliever or an opportunity to spend time with good friends, but when you Tee Up for Kids, your golf game means so much more! The Ledges Country Club will host the ninth annual YMCA Tee Up for Kids Golf Tournament to benefit YMCA Early Childhood Education on October 15, 2018. The tournament has an afternoon tee time of 12 p.m. allowing players the morning to take care of business at the office, then enjoy fun and fellowship on the course following check-in and a catered lunch beginning at 10:30 a.m. There are many fun ways to play including cash prizes for 1st place as well as two mystery placed teams, an exciting raffle, closest to pin and longest drive.
Money raised at the tournament will help pay for tuition assistance needed by 90% of the families served at three YMCA Early Childhood Education Centers in northwest, downtown and southeast Huntsville. The YMCA subsidizes the cost of quality, licensed preschool for households headed mostly by single parents struggling to make ends meet while they work, go to school and raise young families.
Steven Cutter and Ryan Renaud, members of the YMCA Early Childhood Education Board of Advisors, are co-chairmen of the tournament. Redstone Federal Credit Union and Bryant Bank are Gold Sponsors, with Corporate Office Properties Trust and Bailey Harris Construction as Silver Sponsors. Sponsorships at a variety of levels are available and include recognition beyond the game as well as team play. Hole sponsorships provide visibility on the course to all teams and are just $250 per hole.
