Soccer
Soccer
Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world, so it’s no surprise that soccer is also one of the most commonly played sports in youth leagues! Youth Soccer is a great introduction to team sports, and it teaches the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Our Youth Soccer program is open to children ages 3-13, and all experience levels are welcome. Your child will learn the basics of soccer and develop a variety of personal and athletic skills along the way.
Active Play
With all of the running involved in soccer, there’s no doubt that your child will be active on the field! Regular physical activity, especially running and performing soccer drills, will help your child improve their cardiovascular health and build strong muscles and bones. Regular physical activity can also help improve mood, increase energy levels, help lessen feelings of anxiety and depression, maintain a healthy weight, and improve coordination.
Team Bonding
Because soccer is a team-based sport, children will develop communication skills as they coordinate with their teammates. These communication skills can help your child at home, at school, and far beyond the soccer field. and inclusive environment, which can help to create lasting friendships.
The YMCA Promise
At the YMCA, our promise is that everyone plays, and everyone wins. All of our Youth Sports programs, including Youth Soccer, strive to enhance every child’s sports skills, personal growth, and character development. Our goal is to provide every child with a safe, fun, and positive environment to learn new skills and create memories that will last a lifetime.
