military veterans at the 18th Annual YMCA Veterans Prayer Breakfast. This meaningful event will be held on
Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Craig and Steven Hogan Family YMCA in Madison, and will serve as the official
kickoff for Veterans Week in the Tennessee Valley.

The YMCA Veterans Prayer Breakfast is more than just a meal—it's a celebration of the bravery, dedication, and sacrifices made by our veterans. The event will feature stirring musical performances, a heartfelt prayer ceremony, and an award presentation to recognize outstanding service and commitment. We are honored to announce that this years event features two inspiring keynote addresses delivered by distinguished guest speakers, CW5 (Ret.) Dr. Harry Hobbs and Lieutenant General Sean Gainey, sharing insights and stories that resonate with the spirit of Veterans Day.Supporting Our Veterans Through the YMCA Military Outreach Program
All proceeds from the Veterans Prayer Breakfast will directly support the YMCA Military Outreach Program, which benefits veterans and their families in our community. This program provides scholarships to local active service members and their families, offering free memberships, special membership rates, program scholarships, and more. For over a century, the YMCA has remained committed to honoring and supporting our veterans. “The Veterans Prayer Breakfast, held in partnership with the North Alabama Veterans and Fraternal Organizations Coalition, continues our longstanding tradition of recognizing the service and sacrifices of our military heroes, both past and present. This event is our way of letting them know they are cherished and valued in our community,” shared a YMCA spokesperson.
