The Heart of the Valley YMCA joined forces with Jersey Mike's Subs for the 13th Annual March "Month of Giving" campaign to support YMCA swim lessons and other youth programs. This year, the Heart of the Valley YMCA saw record-breaking donations and raised $31,397.
During the month of March, customers made donations to the Heart of the Valley YMCA at three Jersey Mike's restaurants in Huntsville and Madison. The campaign culminated in Jersey Mike's "Day of Giving" on Wednesday, March 29 when local Jersey Mike's restaurants gave 100% of the day's sales - not just profit - to the Heart of the Valley YMCA.
On Day of Giving, YMCA staff and Board Members contributed their resources and time to making sure local Jersey Mike's restaurants had extra help in facilitating the large number of orders being placed.
"On behalf of the Heart of the Valley YMCA, and on behalf of the youth we serve, thank you Jersey Mike's for this incredibly generous donation," said Jerry Courtney, Heart of the Valley YMCA President. "We are very grateful for community partners like Jersey Mike's because they share our vision of serving and strengthening the community."
