Heart of the Valley YMCA Announces Migdalia Gomez as Association Director of Membership Experience
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — December 4, 2025 — The Heart of the Valley YMCA is pleased to announce Migdalia Gomez as the Association’s new Director of Membership Experience. Migdalia brings exceptional expertise in community engagement, strategic partnerships, and relationship-driven service—qualities that strongly align with the YMCA’s mission and the evolving needs of our members.
Migdalia comes to the YMCA with significant experience in business partnerships and mission-centered program leadership. Most recently, she served as Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement at Harvard Federal Credit Union, where she led charitable giving, volunteer initiatives, and large-scale outreach efforts. Her ability to cultivate meaningful relationships and drive strategic growth makes her an outstanding fit for this role.
In her new position, Migdalia will guide Association-wide strategies to:
• Grow and retain membership
• Strengthen a welcoming, inclusive service culture
• Coach and develop membership teams
• Implement data-informed practices for member satisfaction
• Build community partnerships that connect more people to the Y
A committed community leader, Migdalia brings a passion for connecting people to purpose-driven organizations. Her background includes founding Unlocked Vistas, LLC, a venture focused on delivering elevated travel and marketing experiences, after traveling through Portugal and Latin America, as well as leadership roles in New Hampshire, Boston and New York City.
She also serves locally as a Community Ambassador for the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, Tours Chair for the Newcomers Club of Greater Huntsville, and a Leaders of Impact Nominee for the American Heart Association Heart Ball, in addition to volunteering with the Food Bank of North Alabama and Friends, Inc.
