Heart of the Valley YMCA Welcomes Carol Van Putten Vink as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —  December 19, 2025 —The Heart of the Valley YMCA is pleased to welcome Carol Van Putten Vink to our team as Executive Assistant to the President & CEO. Carol brings an exceptional blend of financial expertise, leadership experience, and a passion for organizational excellence that will strengthen our operations and support our mission-driven work.

With a career spanning corporate, nonprofit, and educational environments, Carol has developed a diverse and highly effective skill set. Her professional background includes managing complex, multi-entity accounting operations; leading major software and systems transitions; and designing employee training and development initiatives that empower teams to thrive.

Most recently, Carol served as Senior Accountant at Ingram Micro in Greer, South Carolina, where she managed intercompany loans, oversaw monthly reporting, and played a key role in the organization’s transition from Microsoft Great Plains to SAP. Prior to that, she held a leadership role at Circuit Board Medics, guiding multiple business functions through periods of growth while implementing new systems and delivering professional development seminars for employees.

Carol’s earlier experience includes accounting and operational leadership roles at Earth Fare, where she led automation initiatives that significantly improved efficiency and accuracy, as well as teaching and administrative roles in mathematics and science education. She began her professional journey at Volvo Finance North America, advancing through analytical and leadership positions that supported executive operations and financial systems development.

Carol holds a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Science in Teaching from Iona University. She is also a recent graduate of the City of Huntsville’s Civic Engagement Academy, reflecting her dedication to civic engagement and community leadership.

Known for her organizational acumen, analytical mindset, and collaborative approach, Carol’s well-rounded background and enthusiasm for service align seamlessly with the YMCA’s mission to strengthen community through healthy spirit, mind, and body. We are excited to welcome her to the Heart of the Valley YMCA and look forward to the positive impact she will make.
