Downtown YMCA Moving to New Location with 24/7 Access
Huntsville, AL – July 23, 2025 – The Heart of the Valley YMCA is excited to announce the new location of its Downtown Express YMCA. At the end of its lease and upon completion of ongoing renovations, the Downtown Y will relocate to the Times Building at 228 Holmes Avenue NE—keeping it rooted in the heart of Downtown Huntsville.
The new Downtown Express YMCA location will feature 24/7 member access, offering increased flexibility for busy professionals, downtown residents, and early risers alike. This upgraded facility will also include enhanced amenities such as:
- State-of-the-Art Cardio and Strength Equipment
- Child Watch
- Aerobic Studio
- Functional Training Area and Stretching Zone
- Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms
- Saunas
“The Heart of the Valley YMCA is thrilled to continue serving the Downtown Huntsville community in a new, vibrant space that reflects the needs of Y members and the community as a whole,” said Bev Capps, Chief Operations Officer. “This move allows us to enhance our offerings while staying true to our mission of strengthening the community through healthy living.”
The relocation is expected to be completed in the early fall with limited interruption to member services during the transition.
