About Overnight Camp
Ages 8 to 14 years old
Overnight Camp is a place where boys and girls ages 8 to 14 build self-confidence, independence and lifelong friendships in a traditional camp experience. Overnight campers enjoy a variety of activities during the 5-night, 6-day camp session.
At Cha-La-Kee, our campers discover not just the wonders of the outdoors but the joy of exploring their unique skills and strengths to benefit their cabin groups and the entire camp community. Kids will also get to experience the magic of telling stories around a campfire on a summer night full of stars. Year after year, friendships are strengthened and skills for life are built.
Cabin Life
The Camp Cha-La-Kee experience
There is nothing more central to the camp experience than cabin life! Overnight campers are divided by gender and age into small groups of 10 campers and housed in air-conditioned cabins with adult counselors. In this small group setting, our campers learn communication, trust, patience, empathy and teamwork.
At the end of each day, campers and staff have cabin chat where they take time to talk about their experiences and lessons learned.
Raggers Program
For Ages 12+
This optional, worldwide goal-setting program is available for campers ages 12 and up at our overnight camp. Rags are outward symbols of the acceptance of an inner challenge for personal and Christian growth. Mentors will work with those in the Raggers program to develop short-term and long-term goals for personal growth. This is a great opportunity for your tween or teen to grow in so many ways alongside their peers.
