Dear Y Member,
On behalf of Heart of the Valley YMCA, we invite you and your guest to the 7th Annual Veterans Prayer Breakfast on Nov. 5. As the first event of Veterans Week, the breakfast has adopted the theme “Courage, Sacrifice and Duty, Honoring our Military Veterans.” The breakfast will be held at the Craig and Steven Hogan Family YMCA in Madison and will begin at 7:30 a.m.
The purpose of the YMCA Veterans Prayer Breakfast is to let our military heroes, both those who have served previously and those currently serving, know how much they are cherished. We also include their families in recognizing the sacrifices they have made and continue to make every day to keep our country free. There will be patriotic music, an inspiring message and prayers offered on behalf of our country and our Armed Forces.
The Y honors those who serve our nation and has supported our soldiers during times of war and times of peace for more than 160 years. As part of Heart of the Valley’s ongoing commitment to military family readiness, the Y offers free membership and respite child care to families of deployed military and a free week at Camp Cha-La-Kee on Lake Guntersville to children of military families.
Please RSVP by calling 256.428.9622 ext. 3008 with your response, or send an e-mail to events@ymcahuntsville.org. Our breakfast is designed so that with every paid ticket, a seat at the breakfast table is gifted to a veteran, reservist or active-duty military or their family member, if they wish to attend. We look forward to celebrating at the Veterans Prayer Breakfast with you.
Respectfully,
Robert A. Drolet
Brigadier General, USA (Ret)
YMCA Veterans Prayer Breakfast Chairman

Max Bennett CW4 (Ret)
